A Picturesque Wedding at Four Seasons Resort Orlando

A picturesque setting at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando Walt Disney World made for a beautiful wedding on September 5, 2021, for Zaneta and Chris. The bride and groom choose the King Lawn location of the resort for exchanging their vows, with cypress trees all nestled within a secluded lakeside setting. As guests arrived and were seated under swaying palms, Soundwave DJ Ray Vales played a  selection of prelude music before announcing that the ceremony was about to begin. Beautiful in White Canon in D by Riyandi Kusuma played as the stunning bride proceeded down the King Lawn to her groom, who wore his dress white uniform to reflect his service for the United States Airforce. The couple recited their vows before saying “I do,”and it was all sealed with their first kiss as husband and wife.

Intimate Indoor Cocktails

As the wedding guests moved indoors for cocktails, a Deep House Vocalist mix played was played by Soundwave Entertainment. With close friends and family gathered, it was an intimate and heartwarming celebration. Finally, DJ Ray ushered guests into the reception space for the much-anticipated introduction of the wedding party and the newlyweds.

White Wedding Dress and Matching Airforce Uniform

The elegance of the Four Seasons Palm Ballroom is hallmarked by floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning chandeliers.  Soundwave provided an elegant LED Lighting Design that included 24 Wall Uplights in very soft pink, Pinpspotting on the Newlywed Table, Cake and Tall Centerpieces, along with Soundwave’s Illuminated White DJ Front Board to add to the aesthetics.  With the groom in his white uniform and the bride in a white gown, their first dance to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion was truly picturesque. A wireless mic was provided for the couple to give a personalized welcome greeting.

While guests celebrated the newlyweds with toasts from the best man and the maid of honor, parents danced with personally-requested songs.  The couple cut their cake Sugar by Maroon 5, a fitting song for a delicious cake.

Celebrating Veterans and Honoring the Happy Couple

Wedding guests of all ages showed their love of dancing late into the night. With a mix of Latin and current pop,  DJ Ray Vales, Soundwave’s Latin Expert, kept the party going and the dance floor packed! The conversations and laughter carried on through the night, and the evening ended with a handpicked classic, I’ve Had the Time of My Life from the Movie ‘Dirty Dancing.’  As the guests left the reception space and gathered outside for a sparkler send off, the bride and groom remained on the dance floor to share a private last dance before joining everyone outside.

Setting the Stage for a Wedding at the Mission Inn Resort

Marissa and Adam’s September 5, 2021, wedding was held at the Marina Del Ray at Mission Inn Resort and Club. Located just outside of Orlando, the Mission Inn Resort offers three unique wedding venue options, including the stunning Marina Del Ray. Marissa and Adam held the ceremony of their fall Orlando wedding outside, with the season’s natural setting playing perfectly off of the waterfront. A gentle breeze moved with the bride as she walked down the aisle to her groom. Leaves in the trees above swayed quietly against the music. And within the magic of the natural setting, Soundwave’s DJ Dennis Michael made sure that the music and the officiant’s subtle lavaliere microphone only added to the natural setting, never distracting from the special moment.

Cocktails and Classics

After our bride and groom exchanged their vows and walked back up the aisle as husband and wife, it was time to celebrate. The evening began with guests sipping cocktails and mingling, all while enjoying a vocalist mix of songs from DJ Dennis Michael. As the cocktail hour wound down, DJ Dennis Michael ushered guests into the reception space for the much-anticipated introduction of the wedding party and the newlyweds. Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars played as Marissa and Adam were formally introduced as husband and wife. After the guests settled into their seats, the couple shared a sweet first dance to  I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz.

A Night to Remember

The reception space was beautifully decorated with cool neutrals and soft gold accents. We provided LED Wall Uplights in a soft green color, highlighting the natural outdoor ambiance. Guests celebrated the newlyweds with toasts, parent dances, and a three-tier cake from Sugar Sugar Cake Boutique – coupled with a perfectly-placed LED Pinspot supplied by Soundwave to illuminate the cake.

Sparkling Skies and Goodbyes at This Fall Orlando Wedding

The conversations and laughter carried on through the night. Soundwave DJ Dennis Micheal kicked the party into high gear with ’90s throwbacks, current pop favorites, and crowd-pleasers. Everyone was on their feet throughout the night! The bride and groom really kept the party going and the dance floor packed. Guests of all ages danced late into the night. Closing out the evening, DJ Dennis Michael played Don’t Stop Believing by Journey as requested by the newlyweds. As the last notes faded, guests gathered outside to grab some  sparklers as they cheered and bid farewell to the glowing couple!

Melissa and David Pagan’s Central Florida wedding was a lovely and fun affair from beginning to end. Held on July 24, 2021, their wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center featured plenty of opportunities for unique lighting designs from our experts at Soundwave, and we were excited to return to one of our favorite stomping grounds.

Lighting Design for a Wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center
The couple opted for an intimate ceremony in a room flanked with floor-to-ceiling windows and endless amounts of natural light. Their evening reception was classy and soft, bringing in lots of opportunity for understated and transitional lighting as the sun set on the venue.

We brought gentle color to the inside space with our LED lights, illuminating the room with a gentle purple to reflect the wedding colors of the bride and groom. Soundwave provided the Monogram in Lights on the stage wall with purple hues of LED Wall Uplighting providing a main focal point in the space and a beautiful backdrop for pictures.

We added Centerpiece Pinspot Lighting to highlight the newlywed table and the wedding cake from their positions within the alcove at the front of the room. We also used the lighting design to frame the newlyweds’ silver accents, complementing Melissa and David’s vision for their wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center.

Your Perfect DJ for a Central Florida Wedding
To ensure that it was truly a night to remember, the bride and groom had an ingenious idea: capture it through film…but with a twist! Before the start of dinner, when guests were all still at their seats, Melissa and David requested that our talented Soundwave DJ Ray Vales announce to the room:

“The bride and groom have a challenge for all of you: the newlyweds want to take a photo with each group of guests at each respective table.  Easy enough…however, here is the challenge: you all have only have 3 minutes to do this!  So, you all must work together at each respective table.  The photographer will come to each table and the assistant will get you all in position.  But, you must act fast, you have three minutes total!”

As DJ Ray started the clock on those three minutes, Hey Ya” by Outkast was the countdown song of choice. DJ Ray had fun with the countdown, keeping the energy going as the bride and groom rushed between tables and laughed with every guest in the room. This photo challenge was a fun twist on traditional wedding photos, and DJ Ray was happy to make the most of it!

In keeping with the fun and personal touches at this Central Florida wedding, the bride and groom had another surprise in store for everyone. After the food has been eaten, the cake had been cut, and the dancing had been going on for some time, DJ Ray asked all of the guests to make a circle around the dance floor. Melissa entered into the middle of the circle, and DJ Ray invited Melissa’s mom to join her for a very special surprise dance. The mother and daughter danced to “Mom” by Meghan Trainor, and Melissa’s surprise for her own mom was a successful and heartfelt one.

The dancing resumed and DJ Ray kept the party going until it was time to finally end what had been a fantastic day. Mr. and Mrs. Pagan shared their last dance with guests to “Last Dance” by Donna Summer. When the dancing ended and everyone left the room, the newlyweds were able to enjoy one last private last dance to Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett. We were honored to be part of this beautiful Central Florida wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center, and we loved getting to see Melissa and David start their own happily ever after.

This lakeside wedding at Paradise Cove was an elegant affair, with soft pink florals and gold accents creating a romantic setting. The romantic island vibe of Paradise Cove in Central Florida was the perfect backdrop for Amber and William’s September 10, 2021, wedding. Set against acres of lush Floridian foliage, Paradise Cove is a slice of Key West right here in in Orlando, literally minutes from Disney Springs.

Amber and William added creative touches throughout their own ceremony, with white florals cascading over a ceremonial hoop from Atmospheres. The officiant, Rev. Glynn Ferguson with Sensational Ceremonies, delivered a heartwarming ceremony with the bride and groom choosing two readings and live soft music as the natural sounds from the cove echoed in. A lavaliere microphone by Soundwave Entertainment ensured that friends and family could listen to the heartfelt dedication. The guests cheered as the couple shared a sweet first kiss as husband and wife, and the couple exited down a stunning white silky aisle to the cocktail gathering. There, guests were invited to take photos in the Soundwave Digital Photo Booth, complete with gold backdrop and props. It was the perfect start to this starlight wedding in Paradise.

The reception began with introductions by Soundwave DJ David Regueiro, and he set the excitement for the bride and groom’s entrance. The newlyweds entered through a custom ribbon to Circle of Life by Carmen. As they began their first dance as husband and wife – set to Never Stop by Safetysuit – they were surrounded by gold and linen accents that added to the natural beauty of the twinkling lights and chandeliers. Gold chivari chairs, classic and beautiful white accents, candles, and romantic florals added a layer of warmth and elegance to the room.

Guests hit the dance floor, making requests for their favorite current hits and enjoying the photo booth. It was a real treat to have the traditional removal of the garter from Amber and William and a playful first bite of the decadent cake from Sugar Sugar Cake.

The night was full of dancing and photo booth fun as the guest made requests for their favorite songs, with everyone singing along and laughing the night away. Guests gathered around for one final dance to the upbeat song Mr. Brightside by the Killers, and then they were asked to escort the bride and groom for a final farewell with bubbles at the dock. A gentle breeze from the Florida lakeside floated around the newlyweds as they made a grand exit in true paradise cove fashion: hopping into the ski boat under the moonlit sky, giving their last send-off to their wedding at Paradise Cove.

With a photo booth, fantastic songs, and party props on the dance floor, Jessica and Alex’s wedding at Rosen Shingle Creek, July 17, 2021, was an event to remember! Rosen Shingle Creek Resort is located in beautiful Orlando, Florida.  This luxury resort is a favorite choice for many couples on their big day. Jessica and Alex decorated the area with sweeping florals, white linen, and soft touches of lavender lighting.

Every wedding is very special to Soundwave, but in this case, the bride is in the wedding industry and is a professional wedding planner with Just Marry.  We are always humbled when a fellow colleague turns to us to help make their dreams come true.

The ceremony was an intimate affair: the event was unplugged, live music flowed through the space, and the officiant was a close friend to the bride and groom. As they exchanged custom vows, their faces were glowing with love. Not ones to stop the celebration after a traditional first kiss, Jessica and Alex said their vows and then shared a flirtatious second kiss as husband and wife while making their down the aisle.

The Orlando bride and groom hosted an exquisite reception where music and lighting set the mood for a grand entrance. Beautiful white linen tables for both the newlywed table and the cake were lit with centerpiece pin spotlighting from Soundwave Entertainment. The dance floor was centered in the middle of the room, making it a focal point along with the 18 soft purple uplights that illuminated the space. Breathtaking floral arrangements with contemporary centerpiece designs from Raining Roses gave an exciting and welcoming feel.

Soundwave DJ Les Kopasz got the party started, playing “Party Up” by DMX and directing everyone’s attention to the entrance of the wedding party! As the wedding party entered and it was time for the new husband and wife to take center stage, you could hear: “Ladies and gentlemen, please stand…as I am honored to introduce for the second time today, the newlyweds: Mr. and Mrs. Van Hide!”

Guests enjoyed a delicious plated dinner as DJ Les Kopasz played a custom-curated mix of 2000s Pop Instrumental Mix. The bride and groom shared their first dance to “You Are In Love” by Taylor Swift. Halfway through the song, DJ Les Kopasz invited guests to join the couple in their first slow dance as husband and wife.

After dinner, guests flooded the dance floor and spent the evening dancing the night away with foam glow sticks, light-up glasses, and glowing props! As the night wound down, DJ Les Kopasz announced that the newlyweds would meet them for the after-party as everyone was ushered out of the ballroom. Alone for a brief moment, the bride and groom shared one final dance in private to “Lover” by Taylor Swift. While they gazed at one another, the wedding at Rosen Shingle Creek ended exactly how it started: with the couple just glowing.

When you combine breathtaking views overlooking the water, an intimate and unplugged ceremony, and an incredible reception afterward…then you have Lauren and Elle’s wedding at Cypress Grove.

The ceremony took place on a perfect afternoon in Orlando, with Spanish moss waving gently in the breeze and soft bursts of sunlight dancing off the water. The brides walked down the aisle and took their places under the romantic gazebo overlooking the water. With loved ones to one side and water to another, the unplugged ceremony was quiet, peaceful, and romantic.

After exchanging their custom vows and sharing their first kiss as newlyweds, Lauren and Elle (or “L” to family and friends) walked back up the aisle and exited the ceremony while Soundwave DJ Les Kopasz played “Today Was a Fairytale” by Taylor Swift. Guests were treated to a cocktail hour and a “2000s Pop Instrumental Mix” in the small garden until it was time to reunite with the wedding party and the Orlando newlyweds.

Finally, it was time to celebrate! The wedding party entered the venue’s ampitheater to “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus, and the newlyweds joined the celebration to “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry. As family and loved ones watched, Lauren and Elle shared their first dance to “From the Ground Up” by Dan & Shay.

The ceremony had been a soft, romantic, intimate affair, and the reception carried those same tones. Linens were kept to a tasteful and simple white, allowing for the natural beauty of the venue to shine through. When it came time for the father daughter dances, the emotion in the air was palpable. Lauren and her father danced to “The Best Day” by Taylor Swift, while Elle and her father danced to “Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.

After the final notes of the father daughter songs ended, the guests were ready to hit the dance floor! The first part of the dancing had a little bit of something for every musical taste. And as the night continued, DJ Les added even more excitement to the dancing crowd with favorites like “Yeah” by Usher and today’s hits like “Sweet But Psycho” by Ava Maxx.

It was pretty obvious that everyone could have kept celebrating and dancing long into the small hours of the night, but the time finally came for guests to say farewell to the brides. As guests left the dance floor and the newlyweds were alone in the quiet space, Lauren and Elle were able to share one final dance together privately to “Anyone” by Justin Bieber.

And at last, it was time for a formal farewell. The happy couple left their wedding at Cypress Grove under a blazing archway of sparklers and well-wishes from guests, ready to start their new life together.

The Alfond Inn, nestled in the heart of Winter Park, was transformed into a green wonderland for the enchanted forest wedding of Matilda and Sean. Soundwave provided DJ and extensive LED Lighting Design to bring the bride and groom’s vision to life.  We worked closely with Wedding Planner, Pavone Events, and Raining Roses, florist, to create this fairytale reception.

A gentle abundance of soft, romantic LED Wall Uplighting set the stage for these two lovebirds. The focal point of the Lighting Design was Wall Texturing.  The Wall Texturing is how we illuminated the tree / forest design on the main focal wall.  To illuminate trees on the entire wall, we used 3 high powered LED projection machines with “forest” gobos.  Additionally, the oversized centerpiece trees and floral were illuminated with LED lights. Twenty-four Wall Uplights in candlelight color gave the room a sweeping glow.

Soundwave Owner DJ Les Kopasz kicked off the reception by introducing the wedding party to “Jump In The Line” by Harry Belafonte. The newlyweds then danced to “A Thousand Years (ft Evynne Hollens and Lindsey Stirling)” by Peter Hollens.

DJ Les played a custom list of Celtic music as the guests enjoyed their dinner. The guests enjoyed the Newlywed Game, featuring a host of questions about Matilda and Sean. Afterward, the bride and groom cut the cake to Eat It by Weird Al.

Guests hit the dance floor for a high-energy mix of Alternative, Disco/Funk, 70’s rock, and throwback ’80s-’90s. The night came to a close with the lights dimming and the aptly-titled Closing Time by Semisonic. Then, guests escorted the bride and groom outside for a final goodbye under the stars, closing the evening on this Celtic-inspired, enchanted forest wedding at the Alfond Inn.

Love is Paradise, and that’s exactly how the brides Meagen and Steffanie felt on May 21, 2021. The romantic island vibe of Paradise Cove in Central Florida was the perfect backdrop. Set against acres of lush Floridian foliage, Paradise Cove offers a variety of breathtaking lakeside spaces for you to celebrate with up to 300 of your biggest fans.

Meagan and Steffanie added creative touches throughout their own ceremony, including personal vows and a violinist accompaniment to our Soundwave’s Latin Expert DJ & MC, Ray Vales. The officiant, who was a close friend to the brides, was supplied a lavaliere microphone by Soundwave to ensure that friends and family could listen to the heartfelt dedication. After the brides shared their first kiss as a married couple, they exited down the aisle to cheers from the joyful crowd and the song “We Found Love” by Rihanna.

The reception began with introductions by DJ Ray Vales, and he set the excitement for the brides’ entrances as the newly pronounced: Mrs. Meagen and Steffanie Riccardo. The newlyweds shared a touching first dance to “Better Place” by Rachel Platten. Gold chivari chairs, classic and beautiful navy accents, candles, and tropical florals added a layer of warmth and elegance to the room.

Guests hit the dance floor and enjoyed being able to make requests for their favorite current hits. The newlyweds also had a list of favorites to add to DJ Ray’s collection of fan favorites. Toasts, dinner, cake cutting, and parent dances rounded out the evening. A great surprise was the brides and their brothers sharing a dance to “Hey Brother” by Tessa Rose Jackson.

“What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong was the perfect song to end the evening as guests gathered around for one final dance. With a cool breeze sweeping through the dance floor and the reflection of the moon over the water, Paradise Cove was the perfect setting for a perfect wedding.

James and Karsyn’s Margaritaville Resort wedding, May 15, 2021, felt like a destination wedding to a tropical paradise. Held at the Margaritaville Resort in Orlando, FL, guests felt as though they had been whisked away on a Caribbean vacation complete with beautiful lagoon-style pools, tropical pool bars, and stunning coastal decor.

The couple’s unplugged ceremony began as exquisite bride Karsyn was escorted down the aisle to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. The newlyweds exchanged vows in a lovely outdoor ceremony beneath the shade of Florida palm trees, as 90 of their closest friends and family members looked on.

Following cocktail hour in the prefunction area to the ballroom, steel drums serenaded guests as they began to be seated for the reception in the Grand Ballroom. Beautifully decorated with tropical florals and soft LED Wall Uplighting – the ballroom had an inviting coastal vibe.

Soundwave Owner DJ Les Kopasz introduced the wedding party to “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO, then Mr. and Mrs. Hale were announced to “Best Love Song” by T Pain and Chris Brown. The newlyweds danced to “Better Together” by Luke Combs before groom James formally welcomed their guests.

The evening was a lovely mix of dinner, parent dances, cake cutting, and open dancing. DJ Les was given creative liberty to choose most of the playlist and kept the dance floor packed with a solid mix of 80s rock, throwback 80s-90s, early 2000s, country, and current hits. The night drew to a close as “Don’t Wanna Go Home” by Jason Derulo was played for the last dance with guests. After everyone had gathered outside for a formal farewell, the newlyweds shared a sweet private dance to “Under My Skin” by Nate Smith, closing out the evening on their tropical Margaritaville Resort wedding.

Held at the stunning Estate on the Halifax, Jessica and Gary’s wedding on March 26, 2021, was classic and elegant. The Estate on the Halifax is an idyllic Central Florida wedding venue located in Port Orange. Historic buildings sprawl over the 10-acre estate on the banks of the Halifax river, including a tavern, chapel, cottage house, and two estate homes.

Friends and family gathered for a beautiful outdoor garden ceremony. Jessica and Gary exchanged vows beneath the gazebo and walked down the aisle to “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen after being pronounced husband and wife.

Soundwave DJ Les Kopasz, Owner, began the reception by announcing the bridal party to “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. The newlyweds shared a sweet first dance to “Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison under the warm twinkling lights in the reception space. Gold chivari chairs, classic white table linens, and beautiful baby’s breath floral arrangements adorned the reception tables. Soundwave provided wall uplights in a warm candle light glow on the drapes, which added a layer of warmth and elegance to the room.

Guests hit the dance floor and enjoyed a mix of 70s-80s rock, disco, throwback 80s-90s, early 2000s, and current hits. Toasts, dinner, cake cutting, and parent dances rounded out the evening. The greatest surprise of the evening was the bride and groom serenading guests to karaoke renditions of “Shallow” and “Valerie.”

At last, everyone gathered around for one final dance as “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen played. As guests gathered outside for a sparkler sendoff, Mr. & Mrs. Bowen shared a private last dance to “Speechless” by Dan and Shay, closing out this elegant evening wedding at Estate on the Halifax.
