On a breathtaking Saturday night in August, Ana and Neil exchanged wedding vows in front of family and friends at Bella Collina. This is one of the most romantic wedding venues in Central Florida with a Mediterranean vibe. Sparks flew from this couple from the altar to the dance floor and the exit at the end of the night! We loved celebrating with you!

Bella Collina Romantic Lawn Ceremony

The wedding began with Sweet Child of Mine as the wedding party walked down the aisle to their places. Next, the bride took her first step down the aisle to a beautiful rendition of Can’t Help Falling in Love With You, by Haley Reinhart. Ana met Neil at the altar and the two exchanged their vows in front of 180 guests. After their first kiss as husband and wife, the newlyweds walked hand in hand to their future while  “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns n Roses.

Introducing the Newlyweds with DJ Ray Vales of Soundwave Entertainment

Cocktail hour was over and it was time to head to the ballroom for the reception. The entire ballroom was elegantly draped.  Soundwave provided 32 LED Lights in a warm candlelight glow.  We also provided a pinspot on the wedding cake to illuminate its beauty.

It was time for formal introductions of the wedding party. “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley played as the bride and groom’s parents danced into the reception. Next, it was time for the wedding party to get the party started as they walked out to “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee! Last but not least, the bride and groom made their grand entrance full of bad bunny energy to “Mia” by Bad Bunny.

Now it was time to slow things down and showcase the love between Ana and Neil. They slow-danced to “Love Someone” by Lukas Graham for their first dance as a newly married couple. It was a beautiful moment to watch and their love radiated throughout the room.

Dinner and Dancing

The toasts began and it was time to eat! DJ Ray Vales provided a mix of Latin and American love songs through dinner. Right after the cake cutting the bride and her father shared a heartfelt dance to “Yo Primera La Ama.” Next, the groom and his mother shared a heartwarming dance to “Simple Man“! There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

After a few heartfelt moments, it was time for a little fun. “Danger Zone” played while the groom removed the garter and “Another One Bites the Dust” played while he threw it to the men. Next, it was time to see which lucky lady was going to catch the bouquet. “Man I Feel Like a Woman” by Shania Twain rang out over the speakers.

Finally, the lights dimmed and it was time to dance the night away. La Hora Loca with DJ Ray was a hit with a mix of American and Latin Songs. The dance floor was packed and everyone was sporting their best moves!

Special Moment for the Newlyweds

At last, the night came to an end and the guests danced a final song to “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey before leaving the reception area. While it may have been time for everyone else to leave, the newlyweds shared a private dance to “Galway Girl” by Ed Sheeran. Soaking in the day together and enjoying each other’s company as husband and wife was a beautiful touch. As they made their way outside, their guests were waiting and sparks flew as they walked hand-in-hand to their new future together!

Geena and Mike’s Central Florida wedding was a lovely and fun affair from beginning to end. Held on March 26, 2022, their wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center featured plenty of opportunities for unique lighting designs from our experts at Soundwave. This is always a fun venue to transform and we were excited to return to one of our favorite stomping grounds.

Soft like the sky in lighting design
Geena and Mike opted for an intimate ceremony on their special day. Their ceremony space featured floor-to-ceiling windows and endless amounts of natural light. In the ballroom, we brought gentle color our LED lights, which illuminated the room in a quiet blue that reflected the wedding colors. Our Pinspots highlighted the newlywed table and the wedding cake. We also used the lighting design to frame the newlyweds’ silver accents. From every detail, we complemented Geena and Mike’s vision for their wedding at the Lake Mary Events Center.

Cool in blue
After the ceremony at the all-white floral trellis, it was time to get the party started. Soundwave Entertainment’s DJ David Regueiro set the stage for a grand entrance into the ballroom. As guests took their seats, Raise Your Glass, by Pink kicked off the wedding party introductions and the reception.  DJ David introduced the newlyweds just before they shared their first dance as husband and wife to Lifetime, Justin Bieber.

When the bride becomes the DJ
As the night went on, guests enjoyed a few surprises from this fun bride and groom. At one point, the bride even took a turn behind the DJ booth! Geena was a natural at having fun on the mic and giving her friends and family some dance mixes. The laughter was contagious as the guests danced the night away. Celebrations ended with final final closing song of Don’t Stop Believing, Journey. Then, it was time to really say “don’t stop believing” in this magical evening with a sparkler sendoff for Geena and Mike.

Shani and Matthew’s icy blue wedding at Bella Collina warmed our hearts. On December 8, 2021 we helped these newlyweds celebrate in grand style. Our lighting options created a perfect balance of intimate warmth and winter hues. And our very own DJ and Owner Les Kopasz, spun out the best tunes for a mix that was not too hot and not too cold.

Outdoor Ceremony

First, the wedding began with A River Flows in You, by Yiruma as the wedding party glided to their places. Next, the bride walked down the aisle to a gorgeous classic, Canon in D, by Brooklyn Duo.  Among family and friends, Shani and Matthew said “I do” after exchanging hand-written vows. They stood beneath a decorative arch, decorated in greenery and blooms of soft pastels, draped in wintery shades of ice blue, all to echo Shani’s stunning bouquet. After they exchanged their vows, All of Me, by Daniel Jang played to cheer the newlyweds back up the aisle towards their new future. Next, guests partook in cocktail hour at the Bella Collina Reflection Pool, enlivened by a custom 2000s Pop Instrumental Mix.

Reception Lighting and Design

Peeking into Bella Collina’s ballroom, we saw the same color schemes to perfectly compliment the icy blue wedding palette. Soft pastels and wintery hues once again thoughtfully displayed among the decor.  Soundwave set up 24 LED Wall Uplights in very soft icy blue. Second, our pinspot lights shown on the newlywed table and the cake table. Pinspot lights help draw attention and focus, and it was all eyes on the bride and groom! The Designer DJ Front Board in Walnut tied the image together with elegance.

Raise a Glass to the Bride and Groom

Happy guests filtered in and found their seats. DJ Les introduced the couples while Happy, by Pharrell Williams played. Finally, the new Mr. and Mrs. Mattera were announced and guests clapped and cheered. The happy couple shared a romantic moment during their first dance to “Truly Madly Deeply” by Savage Garden. Next, Matthew hopped on the mic to welcome their guests. Then, each of their fathers took turns giving a heart-felt toast. The best man and co-maids of honor finished off the toasts, and everyone drank to the newlyweds’ future together. Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, by Four Tops set the playful vibe as the couple ceremoniously cut into their wedding cake. Just when we thought we were done with the tears, the groom danced with his mother to My Wish by Rascal Flatts and the bride danced with her father to You Raise Me Up by Celtic Woman.

Time to Celebrate

Finally, one of our personal favorite moments began. Dimming the lights always seems to be the universal signal for “time to turn it up” – and we love it! DJ Les took full advantage of his time to shine, playing a perfectly curated mix specifically for the Matteras.  The bride and groom requested a slightly reserved vibe, and we delivered. Classic disco, 70’s – 80’s rock and hairbands, 80’s – 90’s throwbacks, early 2000s hits, and current chart toppers spun all night. Songs like Shivers, by Ed Sheeran; You and I, by John Legend; Killing Me Softly, by Joseph Vincent, and of course Can’t Help Falling in Love, by none other than Elvis Presley wrapped us all up in the energy of the night.

Saying Goodbye

Matthew and Shani requested Best Day of My Life, by American Authors as the second-to-last song. Full of that feeling of wanting to make the most of every special moment, everyone piled to the dance floor for one last song. Living on a Prayer, by Bon Jovi carried us off into the night.  As the guests exited the ballroom, they made their way to the valet area for a grand farewell with sparklers.   During this time, once the ballroom was totally empty,  Matt and Shani had one last private dance together to You are the Reason, by Calum Scott and Leona Lewis. Lastly, the newlyweds appeared at the exit and ran joyfully down one last aisle, yet again. The crowd of smiling, cheering faces and sparkling lights sent Matthew and Shani Mattera off into the night to begin their new future together. What a beautiful evening!

Celebrating a Fall Wedding at Bella Collina

Fall in Florida is a great time to get married. We were so excited to be part of Katie and Kolby’s October 20, 2021, wedding at Bella Collina! This venue is classically beautiful, with a backdrop that transports couples and their guests to the Tuscan countryside.

Vintage Lace and a Ceremony to Remember

As they entered the ceremony to Known by Tauren Wells, the bridesmaids were perfectly poised for fall in their dark teal dresses. Katie looked stunning as she walked down the aisle to Prayed for You by Matt Stell. Her lace wedding gown was a modern twist on a vintage look, and Katie fit perfectly into the old and ethereal atmosphere of Bella Collina.

Cocktails and Introductions

Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour at Bella Collina’s Reflection Pool featuring a mix of modern love vocalist songs by Soundwave DJ Dennis Michael. When it was time to greet the newlyweds again, the DJ invited guests into the reception space taking place on the Bella Ballroom Outdoor Terrace. The wedding party entered to Levitating by Dua Lipa, then waited on the dance floor. DJ Dennis Michael announced the couple that everyone had been waiting for: the new Mr. and Mrs. Kolby Maddox!

A First Dance, a Blessing, and a Garter

Katie and Kolby enjoyed a first dance to Tip of My Tongue by Kenny Chesney. They then gave a heartfelt welcome to their guests before turning the microphone over to the father of the groom who delivered a blessing. The blessing was followed by dinner, and then the newlyweds cut their wedding cake to Love You Like I Used To by Russell Dickerson. The guests went wild as Kolby removed Katie’s garter, tossing it into the crowd while Hot In Herre by Nelly played in the background.

Not to be outdone, Katie threw her bouquet into the crowd – and then it was time to dance! DJ Dennis Michael kept the party going with a mix of current hits and old favorites. Guests danced to country, hip hop, Latin, and anything else with a great beat and high energy. Crowd favorites included Fancy Like by Walker Hayes and Everybody by Backstreet Boys.

Final Dances for This Wedding at Bella Collina

All good things come to an end, and it was eventually time to close the fun night. Guests danced to You Should Probably Leave by Chris Stapleton before heading out to wait for the newlyweds. Katie and Kolby enjoyed a private last dance to Florida Georgia Line’s song Island. They finished their dance and then made their way to the front of Bella Collina, where guests sent them off under a shower of bright sparklers and well wishes.
