Held at the stunning Estate on the Halifax, Jessica and Gary’s wedding on March 26, 2021, was classic and elegant. The Estate on the Halifax is an idyllic Central Florida wedding venue located in Port Orange. Historic buildings sprawl over the 10-acre estate on the banks of the Halifax river, including a tavern, chapel, cottage house, and two estate homes.
Friends and family gathered for a beautiful outdoor garden ceremony. Jessica and Gary exchanged vows beneath the gazebo and walked down the aisle to “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen after being pronounced husband and wife.
Soundwave DJ Les Kopasz, Owner, began the reception by announcing the bridal party to “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. The newlyweds shared a sweet first dance to “Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison under the warm twinkling lights in the reception space. Gold chivari chairs, classic white table linens, and beautiful baby’s breath floral arrangements adorned the reception tables. Soundwave provided wall uplights in a warm candle light glow on the drapes, which added a layer of warmth and elegance to the room.
Guests hit the dance floor and enjoyed a mix of 70s-80s rock, disco, throwback 80s-90s, early 2000s, and current hits. Toasts, dinner, cake cutting, and parent dances rounded out the evening. The greatest surprise of the evening was the bride and groom serenading guests to karaoke renditions of “Shallow” and “Valerie.”
At last, everyone gathered around for one final dance as “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen played. As guests gathered outside for a sparkler sendoff, Mr. & Mrs. Bowen shared a private last dance to “Speechless” by Dan and Shay, closing out this elegant evening wedding at Estate on the Halifax.
