Lisa and Daniel perfectly matched romance and excitement with their May 29, 2022 wedding at the Highland Manor in Apopka, Florida. Their day started with a peaceful outdoor ceremony and the night ended with Spark Fountains and Hora Loca dancers. We loved celebrating with Lisa and Daniel and are so happy that we get to now share it with you!
Exchanging Wedding Vows Under a Shady Tree at Highland Manor
The couple hosted their wedding ceremony on the grounds of the Highland Manor. Guests enjoyed a calm breeze while relaxing under the canopy of an old tree that hung with Spanish moss.
In respecting the intimate, unplugged ceremony, our team used a minimal sound design that allowed guests to hear the ceremony without detracting from the natural ambiance. The officiant, who was actually the groom’s father, wore a lavaliere microphone discreetly on his suit. We staged a single microphone on a stand to the side of the couple for a guest reading.
Lisa walked down the aisle to Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz (version by 101 Strings Orchestra.) She and Daniel exchanged their vows together in front of family and friends, and then sealed their promised with rings and a kiss. After the father of the groom pronounced them to be husband and wife, Lisa and Daniel walked back up the aisle to Good Life (Radio Edit) by Kanye West (ft. T-Pain.)
Introducing the Newlyweds with Soundwave Entertainment
After guests enjoyed cocktail hour, it was time for everyone to head into the ballroom and find their seats.
The Soundwave LED Lighting team highlighted the best parts of the Highland Manor space with a series of lighting elements. We provided 18 Wall Uplights in a candlelight color creating a warm and romantic feel. Pinspotting highlighted the newlywed table and wedding cake. And finally, our dance lights and our new SPARK FOUNTTAINS added excitement and surprise!
Soundwave DJ Ray Vales was on hand to kick off the evening with style and fun. As he played Bring ‘Em Out by TI, DJ Ray introduced the wedding party along with the new Mr. and Mrs. Nucete!
The newlyweds entered the center of the dance floor and enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife to Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You. As soon as they began dancing, Soundwave set off the Spark Fountains which made for both a poignant moment and a beautiful photo opportunity.
After the first dance, everyone enjoyed a welcome from the bride and groom, toasts, and a blessing by the mother of the bride. A buffet dinner followed and guests dined to a Guardians of the Galaxy music mix.
Lisa and Daniel cut their wedding cake to Cut the Cake by Average White Band. Then, guests enjoyed both the mother-son and father-daughter dances.
When it was time to bring more guests onto the dance floor, DJ Ray invited couples out for the anniversary dances. Throughout a series of songs, guests who had been married for 30+ years were invited to dance, followed by guests married for 25+ years, and so on. The dance floor filled with couples in no time! When the anniversary dances ended, DJ Ray opened the dance floor to everyone. It was time to party!
Feeling the Celebration with an Hour Loca
The party kicked up a notch during the Hora Loca. An LED robot and dancer entered the dance floor and got everyone on their feet! DJ Ray helped to amp up the party vibe with a mix of Latin and American songs that kept the crowd going wild, of course the Spark Fountains added the excitement.
The hora loca ended, but the dancing didn’t! DJ Ray took requests and had everyone dancing long into the night.
Finally, it was time for the party to end. Guests danced a final song to Mr. Brightside by The Killers before leaving the reception area. When they were all alone, Lisa and Daniel enjoyed a final dance in private to Taylor Swift’s Love. We broke out the Fountain Sparklers one last time and gave the newlyweds an ending to their wedding that we hope they never forget!
