In the last few weeks of Florida winter, on February 25, 2022, Rebecca and Aaron tied the knot at The Alfond Inn, Winter Park. The couple selected a gorgeous color palette of deep colors like black, gold and crimson throughout their outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. In addition, they requested fun pop hits all about love from artists like Coldplay and Taylor Swift. The combination was perfect for their romantic winter wedding, and we loved every upbeat moment!
But First, Set Up
Hours before all the festivities, Soundwave Entertainment arrived onsite with our crew. First, we set up the officiant’s lavaliere microphone and speakers for the outdoor ceremony. Meanwhile, the ballroom was quickly becoming a romantic winter wedding wonderland. Alongside the rich colors on the tabletops, we set up Centerpiece Pinspots Lights to illuminate the beautiful floral. The walls appeared to glow with soft candlelight thanks to our 24 LED Uplights set to Candle Light Color. This addition has always been a popular choice among our clients, and it added so much depth and warmth to Rebecca and Aaron’s wedding! With the reception sound system, we also set up our Optimus Luxury Sound System. This is an all white, grand sound system offered exclusively by our very own, DJ Les Kopasz.
Let the Ceremony Begin
To start the ceremony, “Ladies and gentlemen, the ceremony is beginning” was announced gently over the speakers. Guests quickly finished their mingling and turned their attention toward the aisle. Dearly Beloved – Kingdom Hearts, by Vitamin String Quartet welcomed the guests of honor and wedding party. Next, A Thousand Years, by The Piano Guys stirred the emotions of everyone in attendance as Rebecca glided down the aisle on her father’s arm. After the vows and the kiss, Whole Lives, by Jake Scott ushered the ceremony out into the cocktail hour. While guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, Soundwave played a custom instrumental mix of love songs from both old and new artists – perfect for a romantic winter wedding.
Celebration Central
Never Gonna Give You Up, by Rick Astley played as the wedding party rick-rolled down into the reception area. This fun energy continued through the romantic winter wedding after an intimate moment between the bride and groom. If You Love Her by Forest Blakk ft. Megan Trainor was the anthem for the newlywed’s first dance. Then came speeches, the meal, dances with the parents, and the cutting of the cake. Finally, it was time to dance!
Get Up Outta’ Your Seat!
DJ Les fired off hits from Taylor Swift, classics from the ’80s, jams from the ’90s, hits from the 2000s and today’s chart-toppers. We even got some great photo ops with crowd participation dances like Cha Cha Slide and Cupid Shuffle. It was such a fun, flirty atmosphere we won’t soon forget. DJ Les made the call for last dance, and everyone poured onto the dance floor for a wild round of Party in the USA, by Miley Cyrus. Then, we dropped it way back, with slow, soft music as guests left the reception to line up for the farewell. But first, Rebecca and Justin shared a private last dance to Come Away with Me. Finally, they made their way outside to their waiting guests, and ran off hand-in-hand into their future together.
